AOD 2011 . San Francisco.

Hey thar~

Yay, Sheik actually is posting something in this long forgotten blog of hers! How rude of her to have temporarily abandon it. My apologies though. I've been busy and lazy at the same time soooo my top priorities *cough* Ps3, costuming,facebook* have been taking over. Oh and work too. Yeah, work.... I'm doing fine though! ^-^; Some personal stuff kind of went on too but not bad stuff. I'm sure some of you already read my other blog and are caught up!

Soooooooo.........AOD. I'm going to Animation On Display in like 2 weeks. It's an anime convention held at the Kabuki Hotel in Japantown, San Francisco here in Cali. It's a fun con because there's nice people, the hotel is pretty and the underground mall is like right there. It's so fun going to the cute little Japanese shops in your costume. Hehe. Sometimes it weirds the older Japanese people out but you'd think they'd be use to it! Maybe they're weirded out because we're American? Is weirded even a word? My spellchecker disagrees but sometimes it underlines words that are completely acceptable. In any case. I'm going to this con and I'm excited. I just need to actually finish my costumes.

I've decided to go as Ayame Sohma in a maid outfit "he made" and Mai from Avatar. My friends are going as Avatardz so I was like "I'll join!" Let's just hope I can afford the fabric. I'll probably go out to JoAnn's sometime soon to get it. I think today I'll work on my dress.

Also Rikku, Agitha and Bridget are OFFICIAL costumes I'll be taking to Fanime in May. I have started working on the new ones. Agitha will be touched up!

Eee..I got to go potty! I guess I'm done writing now. :D TOODLES.

Ayame Sohma - Finished!

So It should NOT have taken as long as it did to finish this. I procrastinated a lot. It was pretty easy and my first costume where I actually used a real pattern... XD It was fun and I am decently happy with it. I can't wait until AOD!!! I love cosplaying with my friends. It's going to be so fun---I miss it!

Ayame Sohma Prog 1-6-09

I finished my pants for Ayame today. I kept messing up though so it took a while but now they look nice! ^~^ I also worked on the jacket. It's almost done...I just need to finish sewing on the buttons and adding white along the collar and sleeve cuffs. I didn't finish because I went to a party that was held for my Uncle's birthday.... We played boardgames all night and it got pretty intense. I love my family XD

I'd say I'm about 90% done with my Ayame cosplay. Pretty easy cosplay though.....but it'll be really fun being one of my favorite male characters. :D!! THAT's what matters.

Anyway...got to go......bye! (Sorry for no pictures....well aside from the crazy one at the top. XD)

P. Agitha & Mercedes got a little love...

...today.

I painted the beetle pendant that Princess Agitha wears on her necklace of mini beetles.... and then I started working on the flowers for Mercedes. I didn't finish much because it was my dad's birthday and then I left to help my mom with some Christmas shopping out of town... I got back kind of late. My anxiety started acting up, which I hate. :( I was worrying about this bladder infection I kind of have. I think I caught it in time and have been fighting it off with LOTS of water and cranberry pills/Juice... which really helps apparently. IF it does get worse or isn't gone by tomorrow then I plan on going to the doctors. It seems to be going away though, so I don't know!

I'm just praying it will go away, because I am..kind of poor right now? :(

On a lighter note! My mom bought me a zipper for Ayame's pants...and a cute hat that was on sale at Khols. >.>; It's one of those plaid ones with the ear flaps and fur on the inside. I love it :D It's part of my Christmas gift I guess....She likes just getting things around Christmas time



..but the best thing of all is that.... my fiance will be here tomorrow (since today is Thursday now...)!! ^_______________________^ So I am very excited. I might not post as much either while he is here...because I'll be busy snuggling and going all kinds of places. We like to have fun and enjoy our time together. :] He will be officially out of the Navy so I am really glad! Unfortunately he is not from around here, so he will only be visiting for a while then go back home...and in February I will go to stay with him for a while....but anyway...I don't want to ramble on about non-cosplay stuff.

Ahh...Still need to make the pants but I got to buy a zipper first. :3

We;re going to have a Momiji now! ^~^!!!! Robbie has decided to cosplay as Momiji. I think she will make an awesome Momiji too. She's so cute. :3 We watched Fruits Basket today and now she's hooked and loves the little bunny~ I even have the backpack so she could wear it if she wants. She'll be doing his little school 'girl' uniform. Hehe.

I helped her find a wig online and she's probably going to buy it tomorrow if her internet is working. :] I still wish we had a Hatori! Ah well though....sooo excited! Styling Ayame & Shigure wigs...

Going to style the wigs today, I think? I'm not sure. MY SHIGURE....is busy at work right now, but I think she'll be coming over to pick up her wig. It came in the mail today. I almost missed it too. I heard a knock and I thought it was at the door to my room so I rolled over and looked. Then I peeked outside my window (my bed is right next to it.) and I saw a car...then I saw a person leaving the front door with a package. I was like :O!!!!!!! I've never shot out of bed soo fast. LOL.

I hurried and opened the door, my hair was all thrashed and I was wearing my baggy pj's.... the lady was like "Oh I'm sorry.." I was like "No! It's okay.." then I signed the paper and got the package ;3

Should be easy to style them... Going to use wax, Got2BeGlued, Hair Cement(Maybe?) and hairspray..I think. Rawr. Shouldn't be too hard.

...I'm going to go work on my Princess Agitha cosplay right now. I have my crap all spread out on the floor. :P

UPDATE: No wig styling today. Stuffs got in the way and no cars were available for transportation on either side. It's like they planned to keep us stranded =.=!!

Rawr. Anyway. Perhaps tomorrow. I at least got some decorating done....I feel kind of tired now.

Indeed we do. So unfortunately we will not be doing our Ouran High School Host Club (Long name -__-) crossplay for AOD. FORTUNATELY...we've gone back to doing Ayame and Shigure (Kay-chan and I) which makes me very happy because I love Ayame. I'm year of the snake too...not that it really matters. XD

Heh heh...Oh yeah did I mention...I BOUGHT MY SILVERY WHITE WIG FOR AYAME TOO?!?! I couldn't handle it. I found one on sale for $26. An ebay store online was having a wig sale for these coming Holidays so I took advantage and purchased it!
Tis a lovely wig indeed, I must say.

Outfit I want to do. I will hopefully look man enough in it.

Ayame & the Tree of Tranquility....

^~^ Sooo......watching Friends right now. Kind of feelin' under the weather today.

I started playing Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility for the Wii. I think I'm going to go for the boy who likes to receive flowers and perfume. He's cute...~ XD I just forgot his name.

Also, I think I decided on who I'm going to crossplay as for AOD (Anime on Display) an anime convention in San Francisco. I've decided to go as Ayame from Fruits Basket along with my friend who's going as Shigure ... We had other characters in mind but we ended up just choosing from the same anime because it's awesome and they're like best friends...and it's cute :O
